At CoStar Group, our finance group centralizes transaction processes, providing accurate reporting, financial resolutions, and proper forecasting analysis. Joining the team offers access to financial specializations, including cash, accounts payable, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, accruals, debt, payroll and stock-based compensation. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the global consolidation of the Company’s financial statements with a focus on helping maintain and enhance the Company’s ERP, Oracle. Responsibilities include working closely with the financial systems team on Oracle upgrades and implementations of new functionality and maintaining and designing reports used for management and external reporting. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in communicating with the broader finance organization to understand the needs of the business and ensure ERP updates are appropriately implemented. This Staff Accountant will also be responsible for various month end close duties including recording journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, analyzing fluctuations, and various other ad hoc projects as assigned. This person will also be involved in the integration of acquired businesses, including the integration and mapping of GL systems. This role will also include reporting responsibilities related to monthly management financials and quarterly and annual SEC filings. The Staff Accountant should be eager to learn and demonstrate strong communication, time management and organizational skills.
