Staff Accountant ($1,500 Sign-On Bonus)

Job Summary Under the direction of the Senior Accountant, the Staff Accountant is responsible for various general finance and accounting functions, including support for the monthly close process, annual budget and quarterly forecasts. The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements. This role supports the finance team in ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred
- Understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software such as MIP
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree/business major (Accounting, Finance, or similar) required
- Minimum of two (2) years accounting experience
- Valid CA driver’s license
- Tuberculosis clearance
- Department of Justice/Fingerprint clearance
- Satisfactory completion of health screening
- Proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States
- Satisfactory driving record
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Assist with audits and tax filings by providing necessary documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Participate in process improvement initiatives within the accounting function
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
