About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of our organization. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable and will support accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment application, and collections. This position also contributes to the month-end and year-end close processes, prepares journal entries, and ensures the integrity of financial data. Working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, including ownership of accounts payable, procurement, and fixed asset management
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical device, biotechnology, or life sciences) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support accounts receivable processes, including generating and distributing customer invoices, applying incoming payments, maintaining AR records, and assisting with collections on past-due accounts
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including reviewing vendor invoices, verifying purchase orders, and processing payments
  • Review and process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready records of vendor invoices and supporting documentation
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisitions, transfers, depreciation, verification, and disposals
  • Conduct physical inventories and periodic cycle counts; reconcile fixed assets to the general ledger
  • Prepare and file the annual 571-L Business Property Tax Statement
  • Prepare journal entries for accruals, reclassifications, and account adjustments during the close process
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
  • Assist with external audits and tax-related documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on accounting-related inquiries
  • Provide backup support for key accounting functions as needed
