Staff Accountant
About The Position
Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Support inventory accounting, including cycle count reconciliation and valuation Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances Assist with standard cost updates and cost roll-ups Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed Assist with fixed asset tracking and capitalization Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controls Support internal and external audit requests Partner with plant operations to ensure accurate financial reporting Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 1–4 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred) Understanding of inventory and cost accounting principles Working knowledge of GAAP Strong Excel skills Experience with ERP systems (Infor, Oracle, JD Edwards, Epicor, or similar) preferred
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 1–4 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred)
- Understanding of inventory and cost accounting principles
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems (Infor, Oracle, JD Edwards, Epicor, or similar) preferred
