Requirements

  • 2-5 years of accounting experience required
  • Experience with construction accounting and job costing is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • Working knowledge of ERP and double-entry accounting systems
  • Has knowledge of and experience with standard accounting software such as Foundations, Great Plains, Sage, and Peachtree

Responsibilities

  • Monitor job costs and analyze project profitability, helping leadership understand financial performance across projects.
  • Support billing, accounts receivable, and general accounting operations, including journal entries, accruals, and monthly close activities.
  • Maintain labor costing and financial analysis spreadsheets to track operational performance and support decision-making.
  • Review inventory transactions, cost accounting, and COGS to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform reconciliations (balance sheet, bank, and credit cards), assist with fixed assets, and help prepare financial statements for management.
