About The Position
From hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes to barbecue sauce and pancake syrup, Silgan Plastics manufactures packaging solutions to help our customers deliver their products to consumers in an attractive and safe way. As a key member of the Corporate Finance team, you will be at the helm of a critical process that with hard work and dedication can lead to advancement as you demonstrate success in managing daily cash, cash forecasting, and revolver forecasting. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, and time management will be key skills driving your success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Daily cash management (transactional banking), general ledger and/or financial reporting work experience.
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP or comparable system.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Manage and report on daily cash balances for US and Canadian bank accounts
- Accounts Receivable cash application
- Initiation of electronic banking transactions (ACH and Wire transfers) and weekly check runs
- Ensure corporate debt and interest payments are initiated in accordance with due dates.
- Supplier/Vendor Maintenance
- Short-term and Long-term cash forecasting
- Payroll integrations and journal entries
- Close requirements including journal entries, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and various reporting responsibilities
- Preparation of quarterly and annual SEC schedules
- Regulatory Reporting
- Participation in the development of the annual budget, monthly forecast, and related analytics
- Cooperate with internal and external auditors and respond timely to their requests
- Other duties as assigned by management
