About The Position

We are a $1 Billion financial institution located in Orange County looking for accounting individuals with excellent accounting and customer service skills, initiative and a desire to work in a team setting. Summary As a staff accountant you can look forward to performing accounting tasks of a moderate nature that requires experienced knowledge of accounting principles and practices. In this position you will provide specialized or general analysis support in general, fixed asset, investment, cash accounting. In addition, this position performs accounts payable duties, prepares journal entries, maintains complex ledgers and reconciles specific general ledger accounts. The salary ranges for positions are based on current market industry studies as well as job evaluations. During the offer phase Management will determine the appropriate compensation within the compensation range based on experience, education and internal equity.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of accounting/reconciliation experience preferably within a financial institution or equivalent degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Good understanding of intermediate banking principles and a firm understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Intermediate personal computer skills with an emphasis on spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong analytical skills including independent problem solving.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to work within specific time constraints with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work well with other departments to solve problems as they occur.
  • Knowledge of federal banking procedures and regulations.
