About The Position

Staff Accountant Position Summary Supports the organization’s core accounting and financial functions, including reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit support. Ensures accuracy and integrity of financial data while maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. Reports To Senior Director of Finance FLSA Classification Nonexempt Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities General Accounting & Reconciliation Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and general ledger accounts Maintain and reconcile clearing and chapter accounts Record and review transactions for accurate posting Reconcile event and chapter financial activity Accounts Payable & Receivable Process accounts payable and receivable Manage invoicing and collections Ensure proper documentation of vendor payments Review employee expense reports for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance Financial Reporting & Analysis Assist in preparation of financial statements and reports Create and maintain reports and dashboards Support month-end close and journal entries Budgeting & Forecasting Assist with budget development and forecasting Maintain budget templates and track performance Audit & Compliance Prepare 1099s and audit documentation Support internal controls and compliance Program & Organizational Support Provide financial support to staff and chapters Respond to financial inquiries Support organizational goals and initiatives QualificationsJob Competencies and Experience Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Staff Accountant: 3–5 years of experience. Skills Strong communication skills Attention to detail and organization Knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP Analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office Equipment Used Microsoft Office Sage Intacct MineralTree Nexonia Event Temple Work Environment & Physical Demands Office-based role with occasional travel and event support. May require evenings and weekends. Ability to move items up to 50 pounds and perform standard office activities. Special Conditions Successful completion of a background check required. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Staff Accountant: 3–5 years of experience.
  • Strong communication skills

  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office
  • Successful completion of a background check required.
