About The Position

TrueStone is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller to join our Finance and Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with proven experience in financial management, reporting, and controls. As Controller, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure financial integrity, support strategic decision-making, and drive the overall financial performance of the organization

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong understanding of GAAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

2–3 years of accounting experience preferred
2-3 years of real estate experience preferred
Experience with accounting systems (e.g., ERP systems) preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepaids
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts
Assist in the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
Review invoices, expense reports, and ensure proper coding of transactions
Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls
