About The Position

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations in a fast-growing, private equity-backed manufacturing and engineering environment. This role is key to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting close processes, and contributing to reporting and audits. You’ll work cross-functionally and have visibility into the financial health of the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 2–5 years of accounting experience (GL experience required)
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP; manufacturing/standard costing experience preferred
• Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards a plus)
• Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS)
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Regular and punctual onsite attendance for all scheduled work hours is an essential function of this position.
• Candidates must have access to reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival for scheduled work hours and occasional off-site travel for business-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close (journal entries, reconciliations, GL review)
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Own full-cycle Accounts Receivable (invoicing, collections, credit review)
• Assist with audits, including documentation and auditor requests
• Support ERP improvements and help build reporting dashboards
• Provide backup for Accounts Payable as needed
• Assist with tax filings and compliance
• Contribute to ad hoc analysis and special projects
