About The Position

Reporting directly to the GL Accounting Manager, this role is responsible for journal entries, accruals, and various balance sheet reconciliations. We are looking for a highly organized, hands on, detail-oriented individual with a minimum two (2) years of general ledger accounting experience. The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask, and be a strong communicator.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business/Accounting/Finance or related field
  • 2+ years progressive Accounting experience, experience with high volume and a wide variety of operational accounting activities preferred
  • Solid understanding and experience with preparing accruals and account reconciliations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Strong reconciliation and account analysis skills
  • Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task, set priorities and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance and provide excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to establish positive rapport and build collegial relationships within various departments across the organization to maximize the efficient flow of information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take charge of tasks with limited oversight
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (specifically Excel)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using various financial applications, a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar accounting software, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accounting schedules and prepare journal entries and various account reconciliations, including cash reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring monthly accounting activity
  • Assist in monthly financial close process
  • Prepare, maintain, and provide various accounting schedules to auditors
  • Research issues and provide recommended solutions
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; recommend solution and/or adjustments.
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries in an effective, efficient and professional manner.
  • Generate ad hoc analyses and reports as requested.
  • Take on new activities as they are assigned to the department.
