About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Professional to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of multiple dealership locations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and takes ownership of the month-end close process and daily accounting operations.
Requirements
- Prior automotive dealership accounting experience required
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Valid Driver’s License required
Nice To Haves
- Formal accounting education preferred
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist Controllers with managing daily accounting operations and support the month-end closing process
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Analyze financial data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies
- Assist in preparing schedules and documentation for internal and external audits
- Process and record manufacturer statements and invoices
- Reconcile factory statements and floorplan accounts at month-end
- Post and reconcile daily banking transactions across assigned dealership accounts
- Collaborate with team members and dealership personnel to ensure smooth financial operations
- Support process improvements and identify opportunities for increased efficiency
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Be able to commute to Tomball and Kingwood dealerships.
