We’re seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Jacksonville corporate finance team in a hybrid role supporting multi-site operations and private equity-backed growth initiatives. Your Role: As a Staff Accountant at H2 Health, you will play a key role in accurate financial reporting and operational support. Your responsibilities will include:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 2+ years of experience as a Junior Accountant, Staff Accountant, or similar role
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry preferred
  • Experience multi-site business models, preferably in healthcare
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reportiing principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred)
  • Located in the general Jacksonville/East Coast Florida area preferred

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Participating in month-end close processes
  • Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Conducting financial analyses to support accurate reporting
  • Assisting in the creation of audit support schedules (PBCs)
  • Supporting general, lease, tax, purchase, and fixed asset accounting
  • Helping optimize accounting systems and workflows
  • Contributing to the integration of new acquisitions across our multi-site platform
