Role Description We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Staff Accountant. In this role, you will be a part of MCHG’s Service and Support Team, responsible for performing financial and accounting functions, and providing accounting support to MCHG hotels. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proven experience in corporate accounting or related field
  • Good interpersonal skills in person, written and over the phone
  • Excellent problem solving and resolution skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the hospitality industry is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets
  • Reconcile bank statements, general ledger, credit card accounts
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve performance
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
  • Collaborate with other MCHG teams to ensure that financial goals are met
  • Assist with the preparation of Sales Tax filings
  • Additional financial reporting responsibilities and assignments as required
