About The Position

JOIN OUR TEAM AS OUR ACCOUNTANT! Status: Full-Time Schedule: Days, Monday-Friday MBH is scheduled to open in June 2026, and we are building our team in preparation. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the hospital's financial health by ensuring accurate, timely reporting and strong financial controls. Working closely with the CFO, you’ll contribute to critical accounting functions that support operational decision-making and overall facility performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in accounting and month-end closing activities preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor required.
  • May be required to work flexible hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain and update the fixed assets register
  • Analyze actual-to-budget variances for operating expenses
  • Review accounts payable coding and monitor aging
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing as a backup
  • Participate in the monthly close process and support timely financial reporting
  • Support the preparation of the Monthly Operating Report (MOR)
  • Assist with audits and external requests (e.g., interim, year-end, workers’ compensation)
  • Manage petty cash and ensure proper tracking and reconciliation
  • Prepare and deposit cash receipts accurately and timely
  • Compile and prepare weekly staffing reports
  • Prepare and distribute vendor 1099s
  • Complete ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with all facility, corporate, and regulatory policies and procedures
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial, employee, and patient information
  • Support facility-wide quality and performance improvement initiatives
