About The Position
Meridian Group International, is a global organization with an annual revenue of $500 million to $1 billion based in Deerfield Il. We are currently seeking a staff accountant with 2-3 years of experience with strong technical, analytical, and communication skills. This position is responsible for preparing and recording journal entries, account reconciliations, and Accounts Payable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar major with extensive accounting courses
- 2-3 years of related experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and account reconciliation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail- oriented, able to handle multiple tasks and work within deadlines
- Demonstrate proficiency in Excel
- Experience with ERP systems
Responsibilities
- Prepare and enter various accounting related entries
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts
- Review, verify, and enter AP invoices
- Prepare documentation for external auditors
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Perform other duties as assigned
