About The Position

Kennebunkport Resort Collection is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team supporting our luxury hospitality properties. This position plays a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of daily operations across multiple resort locations. The Staff Accountant will divide their time between Accounts Payable responsibilities (approximately one-third of the role) and General Ledger and revenue accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable working with financial systems, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or multi-entity environments
  • Experience with Accounts Payable and General Ledger accounting
  • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily revenue processing and reconciliation across assigned properties
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations following revenue postings
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency in financial reporting and transaction records
  • Process and maintain Accounts Payable for Kennebunkport Resort Collection using Ottimate
  • Manage and process AP check runs
  • Review and approve invoices for payment
  • Verify invoice entries for accuracy and coding
  • Set up and maintain vendor records in Ottimate
  • Ensure all vendor W-9 forms are collected and maintained
  • Support year-end 1099 processing
  • Ensure AP transactions are processed efficiently and on schedule
  • Reconcile Cash Depository Accounts
  • Reconcile Guest Ledger Accounts
  • Reconcile Advance Deposit Ledgers for assigned revenue properties
  • Manage Sales & Use Tax filings for applicable properties
  • Assist with Site Safe audit requirements
  • Prepare and maintain various corporate accounting schedules
