About The Position

Prominence is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accountant to join our growing Finance/Accounting team. This role will independently own and/or support key accounting functions including Payroll, Accounts Payable, Cash Management/Treasury, Cost Accounting, and Balance Sheet Accounting. The ideal candidate will bring a strong sense of accountability, an analytical mindset, and a passion for detail that ensures accuracy across financial operations.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and core financial concepts.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAGE Intacct is a plus
  • Willingness to travel for onsite meetings and business reviews as needed

Responsibilities

  • Support payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payroll runs and related journal entries.
  • Manage accounts payable and billing functions, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
  • Perform credit card and bank account categorization, ensuring proper classification of transactions.
  • Lead the bank reconciliation process, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Execute general accounting responsibilities including balance sheet and accrual journal entries as part of the month-end close cycle.
  • Contribute to system migration projects, supporting data integrity and process continuity during transitions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support audits, ad-hoc analysis, and continuous process improvement.
