About The Position

Hill Brothers Transportation is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our accounting and finance operations. What You'll Do: Support our dynamic finance team by maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end closings. You'll ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls while working with transportation-specific accounting including fuel tax filings and revenue reconciliation. From preparing journal entries and analyzing financial data to supporting audit requests and process improvements, you'll play a key role in maintaining our financial integrity. This role offers exposure to multiple areas of accounting in a growing transportation company.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting (or equivalent work experience)
3+ years of accounting experience across multiple accounting areas
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical abilities and excellent attention to detail
Excellent written communication skills
Self-motivated professional who thrives on accuracy and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

Experience with TMW, TMT, and Great Plains software preferred
