You will prepare supporting documentation for assigned general ledger accounts, process manual journal entries as needed, and implement improvements that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our reporting. You will also play a key role in managing fixed assets, supporting our retail business, and working on various high-visibility accounting projects. Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 2 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliation for assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Own the fixed asset close process by partnering with project managers to provide clear accounting guidance and ensure appropriate capitalization.
  • Participate in the monthly financial review process by researching and providing commentary around financial variances.
  • Reconcile fixed assets and intercompany balances to ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist with the year-end audit by preparing schedules and answering audit questions.
  • Support special accounting projects and financial analysis.
