About The Position

This role will require being available for on-site work within the Isabella Bank footprint with a potential to work hybrid after the training period. Position Title: Staff Accountant Reports To: Accounting Manager General Purpose: Performs a wide variety of accounting duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to analyze large amounts of information
• Strong problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Task oriented
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a group and independently
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience in an accounting position is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports for management and the Board of Directors
• Reconcile general ledger and internal checking accounts
• Prepare accounting entries
• Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statements
• Maintain a detailed record of fixed assets
• Write reports using report writing software
• Perform data analysis
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets
• Prepare and assist in the filing of regulatory reports
• Provide flexibility with work schedule as needed
• Other job duties as assigned
