About The Position

The Staff Accountant is a foundational member of our client delivery team, providing hands-on accounting services to a dynamic portfolio of fast-growing consumer brands, technology companies, and food and beverage businesses. This role offers rare breadth for an early-career accountant: real exposure across multiple industries, business models, and accounting disciplines, all within a collaborative and high-growth environment. You will work closely with Senior Accountants, Accounting Managers, and our international partner teams to manage day-to-day accounting operations across a portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate brings sharp attention to detail, genuine curiosity, and a service-first mindset. You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a solid foundational accounting background, communicates proactively, and holds yourself to a high standard of accuracy and integrity. You are action and goal-oriented; and comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment. This client service-focused role prioritizes the needs of the client and their experience ahead of all else.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of operational accounting experience
  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Teams, Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, IQ, and EQ
  • Proactive communicator with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A passion for supporting start-up companies, learning and driving process improvements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with QBO, NetSuite and related software tools (Shopify, SOS, Cin7) a plus
  • Exposure to e-commerce start-up or consumer packaged goods a plus
  • CPA candidacy or Big-4 experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Process AP, AR, GL, inventory, and payroll transactions
  • Prepare reconciliation schedules for balance sheet accounts such as: prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, and deferred revenue
  • Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow)
  • Assist with review and troubleshooting of inventory management and COGS issues
  • Prepare local compliance filings, business property tax, business licenses and 1099s
  • Assist with financial/accounting and governmental audits
  • Manage client expense reporting process
  • Maintain consistent accounting policies and procedures across clients
  • Resolve internal Quality Control review findings
  • Deliver high quality client service to a portfolio of clients in multiple industries
  • Develop an understanding of client teams and clients’ business models
  • Support senior team members in responding to clients’ day-to-day accounting questions and needs
  • Work with our international partners to ensure tasks are completed and delivered
