About The Position

The purpose of the Staff Accountant is to ensure an extraordinary client experience while creating client advocates and perform general accounting duties. Prepare extended warranty and credit life policy transmittals and paymentsMaintain "Hot List" weekly Prepare monthly bank reconciliationsMaintain monthly accounting reportsReconcile assigned schedulesPrepare timely VIT tax report Reconcile Financial Reserve Statements monthly and remit payment when necessaryProcess and record incoming wire transfers Identifies internal control issues by reviewing existing policies, verifying changes in authorized personnel, and communicating issues to the Assistant Controller Know and understand the Park Place Privacy and Information Securities Policy and adhere to its requirements Attens weekly department meetings

Requirements

  • High School or General Education Diploma (GED); and four years related dealership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company MVR policy requirements
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (background and drug test)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare extended warranty and credit life policy transmittals and payments
  • Maintain "Hot List" weekly
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Maintain monthly accounting reports
  • Reconcile assigned schedules
  • Prepare timely VIT tax report
  • Reconcile Financial Reserve Statements monthly and remit payment when necessary
  • Process and record incoming wire transfers
  • Identifies internal control issues by reviewing existing policies, verifying changes in authorized personnel, and communicating issues to the Assistant Controller
