About The Position

We are looking for a motivated recent accounting graduate who wants to learn what accounting and finance are truly about — cash flow, profitability, operational performance, and business decision-making. You will work directly with experienced finance leadership while supporting accounting and financial operations across all our entities including our restaurant group, marine construction company, and real estate entity. Our businesses operate in the middle market, providing a unique opportunity to gain exposure to real operational finance early in your career. If your goal is to build the foundation for a career in finance leadership — such as Controller, VP of Finance, or CFO — this role will give you the experience and mentorship to get there.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Recent graduate or 0–2 years of accounting experience
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Basic proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with data tools, programming or computer systems
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Interest in how businesses operate financially

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or entry-level accounting experience
  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems

Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain accurate journal entries across multiple operating entities
  • Assist our HR Manager with processing and managing payroll
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial records
  • Prepare financial reporting on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Assist in developing and presenting key performance indicators (KPIs) and participate in meetings discussing business performance
  • Support FP&A and budgeting activities, including forecasting weekly performance and helping leadership understand expected financial results
  • Analyze cash flow trends to help inform short-term liquidity decisions
  • Contribute to financial and operational analysis that supports business strategy and growth initiatives
  • Work with leadership to identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and reporting processes
