About The Position

As a Staff Accountant, you will support the timely and accurate close of the books while partnering with business owners across the organization to ensure business activity is recorded appropriately. This role contributes to financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting, audit support, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and financial insight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient with technology, including advanced Excel and quick system learning.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Travel – Occasional overnight travel for internal trainings and meetings.
  • Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in accounting or finance.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Oracle, or Vena.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power tools (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate).
  • Experience using AI or automation tools in finance or accounting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support period, quarterly, and year‑end close in accordance with company timelines.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and assist with account reconciliations.
  • Partner with business owners to understand financial activity and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit support, including preparation of schedules and documentation.
  • Participate in accounting and finance initiatives that improve processes, controls, and data quality.
  • Represent accounting on cross‑functional projects and apply lean thinking to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to establish goals and procedures that promote consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
