Requirements
- 1–4 years of accounting experience (full-cycle accounting required)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reconciliations, reporting)
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Nice To Haves
- Experience in commercial real estate accounting or property management accounting preferred
- Familiarity with AppFolio or similar property management/accounting software is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions
- Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts and post journal entries
- Manage tenant recoveries, including CAM (Common Area Maintenance), property taxes, and insurance
- Review, post, and track tenant billbacks and charges
- Provide responsive accounting support to property managers, tenants, vendors, and internal teams
- Set up new tenants and properties in AppFolio (property management software)
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
- Identify process improvements and support ongoing accounting system optimization
