About The Position

This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule. Performs a variety of duties to support the bank’s financial operations by processing and reviewing financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing and reviewing reconciliations, preparing financial and regulatory reports, and adhering to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required. Will consider equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory accounting principles.
  • Functional understanding of Windows-based applications including a proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to have attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Flexibility in working hours, particularly when meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Record and review daily, monthly and quarterly accounting entries as needed.
  • Perform account reconciliations for Bank, Holding Company and Bank subsidiaries.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Assist/back up accounts payable process.
  • Assist in Federal Tax filings.
  • Assist with audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Responsible for fixed asset and prepaid process.
  • Responsible for the administration of the Bank’s EITC process.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting regulations.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth financial workflows.
  • Prepare and review regulatory filings.
  • Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
