About The Position

Job Purpose: This position will assist both Senior and Staff Accountant with AR and AP duties and assist the Accounting Supervisor with collections. Accounts Receivable: · Responsible for credit holds, AR requests from Project Managers, Shipping and Customer Service relating to customer accounts · Responsible for ensuring all invoices and supporting documents are saved in job files · Responsible for new customer set up: collecting paperwork from customers, credit checks (references and pulling Dun & Bradstreet reports), completing vendor supplier forms and setting up new customer accounts · Responsible for posting Customer payments and bank transfers · Assist with processing invoices Accounts Payable · Assist with invoicing · Assist with issuing checks · Responsible for setting up new vendors accounts in ERP system Collections · Make outbound collection calls and/or email correspondence in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations · Document correspondence in ERP system and save necessary documents in customer master file · Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and maintain documentation to discuss with Supervisor · Email monthly statements to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts General Participate in process improvement initiatives and procedural updates. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, principles, and business ethics codes. Requirements

Five (5) years of prior accounting experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable
Two (2) years of experience in collections
Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required
Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment
Multi-tasking abilities
Professional phone etiquette
Customer service skills
Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
Self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (primarily Outlook, Excel and Word)
Experience with ERP software, preferably Epicor

Nice To Haves

Experience with Avalara preferred
