The Staff Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the financial health and operational success of the business. This position goes beyond traditional accounting by combining core accounting responsibilities with financial analysis and direct collaboration with operations. You will help ensure accurate financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and work alongside business leaders to understand costs, improve processes, and drive better decision-making. Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 0 to 5 years experience (internships acceptable)
  • Basic GAAP knowledge
  • Excel proficiency
  • Familiarity with other common accounting software

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Support month-end close activities
  • Process vendor invoices and payments
  • Assist with customer invoicing and collections
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and dashboards
  • Support budgeting and forecasting
  • Analyze actual vs. plan performance
  • Partner with operations teams on costing and project evaluation
  • Track project costs and timelines
  • Maintain accurate financial records in ERP systems
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance
  • Identify and implement process improvements
