About The Position

Join a growing construction company where your expertise in job costing, billing, and QuickBooks Desktop will directly support high‑value projects and leadership decision‑making. This is a high-impact accounting role working closely with internal teams and external partners to keep projects financially accurate, compliant, and moving forward.

Requirements

  • Construction accounting and job costing experience
  • Strong QuickBooks Desktop proficiency
  • Experience with contract billing and cash flow management
  • Knowledge of AP/AR processes
  • Comfortable supporting month-end and year-end close
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting (or related field)

Nice To Haves

  • General ledger experience
  • Exposure to certified payroll, union payroll, and union benefits

Responsibilities

  • Track, analyze, and report construction job costs, backlog, and retainage
  • Maintain accurate job cost and equipment costing records
  • Support month-end and year-end close
  • Process vendor and subcontractor invoices efficiently
  • Manage compliance documentation including W-9s, COIs, lien waivers, and warranties
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly contract billing for $10–15M in revenue
  • Issue client invoices and manage collections follow-up
  • Maintain labor billing rates and intercompany billing entries
  • Support insurance renewals, audits, and credit applications
  • Manage compliance reporting, contractor prequalification, and submissions through ISN/Highwire
