Requirements

Construction accounting and job costing experience
Strong QuickBooks Desktop proficiency
Experience with contract billing and cash flow management
Knowledge of AP/AR processes
Comfortable supporting month-end and year-end close
Associate’s degree in Accounting (or related field)

Nice To Haves

General ledger experience
Exposure to certified payroll, union payroll, and union benefits

Responsibilities

Track, analyze, and report construction job costs, backlog, and retainage
Maintain accurate job cost and equipment costing records
Support month-end and year-end close
Process vendor and subcontractor invoices efficiently
Manage compliance documentation including W-9s, COIs, lien waivers, and warranties
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
Prepare and reconcile monthly contract billing for $10–15M in revenue
Issue client invoices and manage collections follow-up
Maintain labor billing rates and intercompany billing entries
Support insurance renewals, audits, and credit applications
Manage compliance reporting, contractor prequalification, and submissions through ISN/Highwire
