Requirements

• Associate’s degree in accounting required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience in the accounting field, preferred
• 1 to 3 years of customer service and/or business office experience, ideally in a medical setting preferred
• Prior experience and knowledge in the use of software packages such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll
• Prepare journal entries and maintain account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close
• Support audits by gathering documentation and providing insight
• Help track fixed assets and manage depreciation schedules
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial, payroll, and patient information
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with the Controller and broader team on daily operations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with accounting systems and office technology
• Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Knowledge of confidentiality standards, including HIPAA
• A courteous, team-oriented approach with a commitment to excellence
