In this key role, you’ll be more than a “numbers person” — you’ll be a vital contributor to the accuracy, stability, and growth of our dealership’s financial operations. As a Staff Accountant, you’ll take ownership of financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting the overall health of our accounting department, while partnering across departments to ensure excellence company-wide. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of accounting experience, preferably in automotive, RV, or marine dealership settings.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and best practices in accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-first attitude.
• Integrity, accountability, and a drive to succeed are a must.

Nice To Haves

• Dealership accounting experience (inventory control, floor plan management, service/parts accounting).
• Familiarity with dealership systems like IDS, CDK, Lightspeed, or Reynolds & Reynolds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable with precision and timeliness.
• Reconcile inventory accounts for RVs, boats, trailers, and parts.
• Track and report manufacturer incentives, warranty claims, and floor plan interest.
• Collaborate with sales, service, and parts teams to resolve financial discrepancies, owning every moment to support smooth operations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare internal financial reports with integrity and attention to detail.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with dealership, state, and federal regulations.
• Identify areas for process improvement, being driven to create efficiencies and cost savings.
