About The Position

The Staff Accountant is responsible for analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss or other financial activities within the company. They are also responsible for assignments delegated by the Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, and/or VP of Finance and Accounting, which are not limited to the following essential responsibilities.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of related experience (Salary commensurate with experience.)
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and performs varied and complex accounting and financial record-keeping activities, including analysis of various sales and commission data.
• Gathers, analyzes, and prepares data for financial reports which may involve the application of advanced principles of accounting.
• Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations and analyses for both month-end and year-end closing.
• Assists with review of payroll disbursements.
• Assists with tasks associated with Accounts Receivable, including entering and recording deposits, creating invoices for shared services between company accounts, balancing sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
• Upholds high standards of confidentiality and integrity for both employees and employer.
