About The Position
The members of the accounting job family ensure that Cavco's financial books and records are appropriately maintained in a timely and accurate manner. They maintain the chart of accounts, general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers. They process accounts receivables and accounts payable as well as maintain lists of authorized vendors. The accounting group works directly with the external auditors and financial reporting to ensure GAAP and SEC compliance. Staff accountants support the Senior Staff Accountant and controllership roles including preparation of accounting entries and analysis. Staff accountants may or may not have accounting backgrounds although accounting and industry experience is preferred. This role works independently executing process steps, conducting analysis, problem solving and delivering recommendations.
