About The Position

Our company is looking for a Home-Owner Association Staff Accountant to oversee association financials. The Home Owner Staff Accountant will be responsible for monitoring general accounting practices and maintaining internal accounting controls.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience with financials
  • Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
  • At least five(5) years of experience in accounting
  • Fund based accounting; a plus but not required
  • Accounting Degree preferred, not required
  • Must pass background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the association accounting
  • Oversee accounting procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and FDIC limits
  • Meet financial accounting objectives
  • Review and oversee external and internal audits
  • General Ledger analysis
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close reconciliations and processes
  • Prepare financials for Association Board of Directors
  • Interact with Association Managers
  • Review Association budgets
