About The Position

Flagger Force, an industry leader in traffic control, is currently hiring a Staff Accountant. This position will operate out of our corporate campus, located in Hummelstown, PA. The Staff Accountant position is primarily responsible for all aspects of the daily and monthly business accounting processes including financial statement preparation, accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as the involvement in the weekly payroll process, while acting in accordance with company mission, vision and values.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or another related field required
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software systems
• Exceptional verbal, written, analytical and reasoning skills
• Two (2) years accounting related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete the accounts payable process, including entering invoices and mailing out checks
• Complete the accounts receivable process, including applying payments and researching over/under payments
• Perform bookkeeping work, including creating invoices, posting payments, and creating journal entries
• Enter all additions and disposals of fixed assets each month, and perform audits of fixed assets as assigned
• Complete Bank and Balance sheet reconciliations
• Resolve discrepancies in accounting records
• Assist in the preparation for the year end audit
• Take initiative to identify and solve problems with a focus on efficiency and accuracy within the department
• Assist in financial statement analysis
• Perform special projects as needed or assigned by Accounting Supervisor or Vice President
• Additional reporting, analytics, auditing as required
• Attend and participate in various department meetings as necessary
