About The Position

TopBloc is a Workday boutique partner firm that provides fixed-time, fixed-price Workday deployment services and on-demand Workday support. Using our internal proprietary tool we are able to quickly implement Workday Human Capital Management, Payroll, and Financials business processes and technology, letting our customers focus on their business while they gain immediate value. Once live, we also provide expertise and resources as needed to support the customer’s individual Workday solution. We are looking for a Staff Accountant (Non-Exempt) who is passionate about working in a collaborative environment and has the ambition to be a driver for success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Required)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (Required)
  • Experience with Workday Financials and Salesforce (Strongly Preferred)
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Basic understanding of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping principles
  • Excellent time management skills and detail orientation
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information

Responsibilities

  • Assist the accounting department by managing accounts receivable, assisting in monthly accounting procedures, and assist with any additional ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Effectively communicate with clients regarding past due invoices and statements.
  • Work with our customers on any and all billing issues by communicating with client finance and delivery teams.
  • Assist in the processing of Accounts Payable.
  • Coordinate commission payouts and maintain commission trackers for the Sales department.
  • Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records.
  • Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables and receivables.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the organization's financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes.
  • Protect business against unintentional overpayment.
  • Report to the Controller and work to improve financial processes.
