About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the month-end close process, overseeing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and billing. Additionally, this role will involve overseeing aspects of purchasing, IT, and HR as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee the AP process, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliation.
  • Manage the AR process, including customer invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of customer invoices.
  • Assist with purchasing activities, including vendor management and procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to ensure financial systems and software are functioning effectively.
  • Support HR functions as needed, including payroll-related HR tasks and employee benefits administration.
