Prepare tax schedules and reports for state and city sales, lease/rental inventories, personal property, real estate, hazardous waste, environmental quality, and fuel taxes. Assist in the preparation of tax schedules for Federal, Arizona, and California income tax returns. Constantly review, monitor, and make recommendations for internal control improvement. Act as liaison for tax consulting and advice for all Empire departments. Approve all Sales for Tax compliance. Monitor all EMPIRE and subsidiaries government required reports and licenses. Assist Tax Manager to minimize Empire's liability during audits by governmental agencies. Maintain the tax reference library. Communicate applicable tax law changes to the appropriate Empire personnel. Assist in the preparation of all schedules and information needed for EMPIRE and subsidiaries’ Federal and State Income Tax returns. Assist sales personnel to resolve customer tax issue concerns. Provide written determinations to customers after consulting with applicable governmental agency. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Work within and promote corporate values.
