About The Position

The Staff Accountant, Revenue will support all revenue accounting activities across Hims & Hers. This role assists with the monthly revenue close process, prepares reconciliations and journal entries, and helps ensure revenue is recognized accurately and in compliance with U.S. GAAP. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting, this role partners closely with FP&A, product, IT, and other accounting teams to ensure complete and accurate revenue reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of accounting experience; public accounting is strongly preferred.
  • BA or BS degree in Accounting.
  • CPA track is strongly preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of U.S. GAAP; exposure to ASC 606 preferred.
  • Experience supporting month-end close and preparing account reconciliations.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow within the revenue accounting function.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations related to revenue, deferred revenue, refunds, and chargebacks.
  • Support the monthly revenue close process, ensuring deadlines are met with accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform detailed transaction-level reviews to ensure revenue is recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 606).
  • Assist in preparing revenue rollforwards and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between merchant processors, the data warehouse, and the general ledger.
  • Partner with Product and IT to ensure accurate data flows and system integrations.
  • Execute assigned SOX controls in a timely and precise manner.
  • Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits by preparing audit support and responding to auditor requests.
  • Perform flux analysis and explain month-over-month revenue variances.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and reporting accuracy.
