Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 3-4 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting
• Experience in bookkeeping and auditing
• Knowledge of general accounting principles
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to solve problems

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Ensure timely payments and take advantage of all available discounts
• Verify vendor invoices for accuracy, quantity, and price in coordination with the purchasing department
• Post vendor invoices to accounts payable and prepare checks
• Monitor and verify customer account balances and perform credit checks
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies
• Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls
• Prepare periodic financial reports for management
• Contribute to team efforts and accomplish related results as needed
