The Staff Accountant will execute and support all accounting-related activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting processes. This is HYBRID Role (4 days at Headquarters in New York City (SOHO) & 1 days Remote/Work From Home). Due to Business Needs, there might be Occasional Business Travel to our Paramount Prints Division is in Passaic, NJ.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA and MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years of progressive accounting and finance experience in an organization of similar scale and complexity.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, financial reporting, financial statement analysis, and internal controls.
  • High level of interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Highly detail oriented.
  • Ability to work cross functionally to achieve desired results.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professional skepticism.
  • Must have a moderate to high level of competency in Microsoft Excel, and experience creating and delivering power point presentations.
  • Knowledge of GP is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned areas from the month-end financial close process, including recording journal entries.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and prepaids within the established deadlines. Ensure reconciling items are researched and supported in accordance with company policy.
  • Sales and use tax reporting monthly as well as property tax payments and business licenses.
  • Assist with finance and accounting activities and intercompany transactions and eliminations.
  • Ensure that the accounting records, reports and supporting documentation are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and government regulations.
  • Preparation and performance of ad hoc or ongoing projects and schedules as needed.
