Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
2 – 4 years of accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Proficiency in Excel as well as accounting software.
An analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Reconcile daily cash receipts and resolve variances
Close out each month: At the end of the month, review and update financial records so everything is accurate.
Handle commission payments: Calculate commission payments for our insurance agents.
Help with financial reports: Work with the accounting manager to prepare reports on company performance.
Manage investments: Support tracking and reconciling of company investments and cash flow.
Support payroll and benefits: Help with payroll, managing benefits, and making sure related accounts are accurate.
Ensure compliance: Prepare and submit required state and federal filings.
Analyze financial data: Provide insights to help managers make informed decisions.
Improve processes: Suggest ways to make accounting processes more efficient and accurate.
Assist with new systems: Participate in rolling out new software or products to ensure alignment with accounting needs.
Work with other teams: Collaborate with other AAA Central Penn departments to keep financial information accurate and processes running smoothly.
