About The Position

SHINE Technologies is seeking a Staff Accountant II who will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position supports the month-end close process, account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, accounts receivable and accounts payable processing and assists with audits and compliance reporting. The Staff Accountant II serves as a key contributor to the finance team, bringing a solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work independently on moderately complex assignments. The base salary range for this position is $65,000 per year - $100,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or cost accounting (manufacturing or pharma experience preferred).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite/SAP preferred).
  • Strong and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely completion.
  • Review and analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Support financial audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Assist with capital expenditure tracking and cost reporting.
  • Partner with operations to understand production inefficiencies and reflect these in cost structures.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and support training on revised procedures.
