About The Position

Responsible for performing intermediate accounting tasks, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards; Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred and 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate or multi-entity environments
  • solid understanding of GAAP and intermediate accounting principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • proficient with ERP/accounting software, D65 preferred
  • able to generate reports, perform reconciliations, and manage data accurately
  • ability to manipulate spreadsheets, run queries, and assist in reporting and analysis
  • Primarily office-based
  • able to sit at computer for extended periods
  • ability to use standard office equipment (computers, printers, scanners)
  • sit, stand, walk, talk
  • occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision

Nice To Haves

  • experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany reconciliations, or financial reporting for complex organizations, preferred
  • familiarity with payroll, fixed assets, and cost accounting processes

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries for general ledger, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including intercompany, prepaid, and accrued accounts.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare financial statements and internal management reports.
  • Analyze account variances and provide explanations or recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Assist with audits, providing supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Mentor or provide guidance to Staff Accountant I or junior accounting staff.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects, process improvements, and ERP implementations.
