Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. preferably in Accounting, or comparable education or related training.
  • 3 - 5 years accounting experience in financial services.
  • Familiarity with financial services industry accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products with an emphasis in spreadsheets, databases and word processing.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information.
  • Individual must be self-driven with the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize projects.
  • Individual must be detail oriented and possess strong analytical skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various balance sheet reconciliations to include daily teller cash, other cash related item accounts, bank deposit accounts and loan accounting.
  • Assist with treasury functions.
  • Preparation of journal entries in accordance to GAAP principle.
  • Perform month end close analysis.
  • Identifies internal control issues and inefficiencies and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Manages Company risk relative to position.
  • Assist manager in special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
