About The Position

Responsible for performing assigned accounting duties and assisting with special projects as assigned by the Controller. This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements. Responsibilities, knowledge, skills, abilities and working conditions may change as needs evolve.

Requirements

  • Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Education: Associates degree in Accounting required.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must.
  • Other Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer knowledge is required.
  • Requires sitting for long periods of time and working in an office environment
  • Some bending and stretching is required
  • Will be required to lift and carry boxes of forms ranging in weight from 10-20 lbs. Use of telephone is required
  • Manual dexterity required for use of calculator and computer keyboard.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment under stress of multiple deadlines.
  • Office environment with close contact in cubicle/office setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • Experience with accounting software and in a healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to prioritize job duties, multi-task and complete assignments in a timely manner with little oversight/inspection of work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, monthly, and year-end procedures for multiple companies.
  • Prepare and maintain Capital budget & Operating budgets.
  • Maintain Fixed Assets for the Clinic.
  • Assist with special projects as needed and requested by the Controller or CFO.
  • Prepare and book daily journal entries.
  • Prepare and run recurring & allocation journal entries.
  • Maintain spreadsheets to track Clinical Trial and call pay income for Physicians.
  • Prepare miscellaneous deposits weekly.
  • Be as accurate as possible in all reporting.
  • Be responsive to requests of physicians and members of Administration.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal control standards.
  • Hold all financial matters in the strictest confidence.
  • Maintain friendly, professional relationships with physicians and Clinic staff.
  • Observe all Clinic policies and guidelines.
