About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant / CPA to join our professional CPA services team in Washington C.H., OH. This role supports accounting, tax, and financial operations for a diverse client base including business owners, executives, and independent professionals. The ideal candidate will leverage strong accounting expertise, excellent analytical skills, and CPA licensure to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and effective client service in a small public accounting environment.

Requirements

• Active CPA license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong foundation in GAAP, accounting principles, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting and tax preparation software (e.g., QuickBooks, tax software tools).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deliver high-quality client service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.
• Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
• Assist with tax planning, mitigation strategies, and advisory services to help clients optimize financial performance and minimize liabilities.
• Conduct audits, internal reviews, and account analysis to support accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address issues, answer tax and accounting questions, and provide financial insights.
• Assist in bookkeeping services, payroll support, and QuickBooks or accounting software implementation/training when needed.
