About The Position

The Staff Accountant – Corporate is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, assisting with the month-end close process, maintaining general ledger integrity, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting policies. This role works closely with the Corporate Accounting team, business units, and external auditors to support financial reporting and operational accounting needs.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting or related experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, general accounting, and payroll.
  • NetSuite, Concur, Microsoft SharePoint, and JPMC Access platform experience is a plus.
  • Intermediate Excel skills to include VLookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to work independently, research, and solve problems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills required.
  • Effective interpersonal skills: team player and self-starter who can exercise sound judgement and handle a variety of issues.
  • Ability to adopt new technological tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related footnotes.
  • Assist with internal reporting packages for management.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Perform account reconciliations and variance analyses.
  • Investigate discrepancies and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Monitor intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules and documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate policies.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the implementation of accounting systems, automation, and policy updates.
  • Assist with Concur administration, Concur user administration, processing, analysis, and reporting, and ensure compliance with T&E policy.
  • Assist with corporate credit card administration, corporate credit cardholder management, relevant analysis & reporting, and enforce the cardholder’s agreement for compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
