Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline, CPA a plus.
  • One to two years related experience.
  • Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Knowledge of SAP and EPM reporting systems a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Compile, prepare and review the consolidated financial statements (i.e., income statements, balance sheets, and statement of equity) to provide timely and accurate information in accordance with IFRS standards.
  • Prepare consolidating journal entries (e.g., elimination of intercompany and internal equity activity). Conduct an analysis of general ledger accounts to ensure accounts are properly reflected in the financial statements.
  • Manage and monitor various closing checklists to ensure all deliverables are met timely.
  • Manage working relationships with foreign entities, including review and summarization of financial data submitted to the Consolidations team by reporting entities.
  • Consolidate and prepare supporting schedules for semi-annual reporting to parent company and quarterly government reports.
  • Develop skillset as a proficient user of various systems such as SAP, EDW and BPC/EPM for routine and ad hoc analysis as well as verification of close results.
  • Direct involvement in the integration of newly acquired companies and disposition of operations.
  • Work closely with consultants, 3rd party auditors, parent company, and departments within the company, including Corporate Accounting, Treasury, and Tax.
  • Potential to participate and lead special projects, including planning/implementation and post implementation review.
